Another key scene comes towards the end of the film, after the dysfunctional U PACK IT team comes together and saves the day. Director George Ye and Director of Photography Peter Mickelsen wanted an over-the-top scene with the team in a heroic pose – like something you’d expect from Michael Bay.
They turned to Lighting Director Micah Minor and his team to light up the scene and make things look like an epic blockbuster movie set. With a couple of grips manning fans to get the actresses’ hair blowing, Peter hopped on the dolly for the iconic push in and tilt up camera move.
With lens flares all over the place and the U PACK IT team looking they just saved the world, the shot came together beautifully.
