Peter Mickelsen is an accomplished Cinematographer and Camera Assistant based in San Diego. He is experienced in all aspects of camera operations for any type of production, including long and short form narrative film, documentary and commercial. Peter is also a member of Bad Cat Films, a full service independent production company, through which he can offer rentals of cameras, lenses, grip and rigging gear, and more. Bad Cat also offers a full post-production DaVinci Resolve-based color grading suite.
Peter first joined Preposterous Films as 1st AC on the production of “Letting Go” in 2012. In 2013 Peter again joined Preposterous Films as Director of Photography on “Love Street Trolley.” Peter was Director of Photography on the 2014 Preposterous Films Production of “Cindy Anna Jones and the Pencil of Doom“ and again for the production of “U Pack It” the short.
