Joe Castanho

Joe---UPI-BGAs a self-taught filmmaker, Joe Castanho built Preposterous Films through competing in timed film making competitions, such as the 48 Hour Film Project. A perennial award winner, Joe has grown to take on more complex projects including TV and Internet commercials, testimonials and family oriented video production.

Joe began filmmaking in order to bond with his oldest son, Jacob. Together, their first film, “Victor Victor Victor, the Musical,” earned them the accolade of second runner-up for audience choice in the 2009 San Diego 48 Hour Film Project.

Since then, Preposterous Films have continued to earn accolades as they complete in similar film making competitions.

U Pack It’s success in the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project has prompted Joe to approach his co-producers and take on the task of turning the short into a web series and beyond.
